I just found the most effective and cheapest dieting method.
1) Buy three sardine currypuffs, at three for one dollar, from the nice lady selling them just outside the MRT station.
2) You will eat the first sardine currypuff and discover it to be made of a lot of flour, a lot of butter, a lot of grease and very little sardine. You feel your jaw aching from the effort of chewing the unaccountably tough pastry, but you think that this is breakfast and you should be eating more. So you eat a second sardine currypuff.
3) After the second sardine currypuff, you realise that you really cannot stomach down the third. So you tie the plastic bag carefully and put it in your bag, not wanting to waste food. At the same time you think, in a very virtuous mood, "I'll eat it later, when I'm hungry."
4) You go to school and attend your lessons. Somewhere in the middle of the day, you start to feel somewhat like eating. You think of the sardine currypuff in your bag, and you decide that you are actually not that hungry after all.
This is how I managed to survive my day with two currypuffs at around seven in the morning and one untouched in my bag all the way until dinner.
I think it'll work with potato currypuffs as well, provided you buy them from the same nice lady I got my sardine ones from.
I shall thus name this as the Currypuff Diet.
